Ellie Peterson is an American, New York City based actor who was introduced to acting and singing at a young age. Her passion for storytelling and longing for community pushed her to pursue formal teaching, learning many different methodologies from AADA. She is a recent American Academy of Dramatic Arts Conservatory graduate, where she spent 3 years sharpening her skills.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, my mom signed me and my twin sister up for every extra curricular activity you could imagine. From soccer to girl scouts to theatre... well... we were never bored, thats for sure! Two weeks before the start of middle school we moved halfway across the country to Hagerstown, Maryland, and I joined the high school drama club. And, not to be dramatic, but it changed my life. Through this program I would go to Edinburgh, Scotland to perform in the Fringe Festival at 15 years old. I learned how to edit and broadcast the daily news with professionalism (live in front of the entire school) and I made connections that will last me a lifetime. My director introduced me to AADA, where I applied, was accepted, and have never felt more myself.

In Current News...
I have graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts NYC and completed their company program. I am working backstage at The York Theater and AADA, as well as stretching my legs into the stage managing world. I continue to learn, through online programs that help me with script analysis, and through auditions, that give me a change to practice my skills and have fun. Now I want to plunge into the deep end of the industry. Will I make some mistakes along the way? Maybe, but I know they'll be essential to growing and learning my craft.
